For those who do not know, there are 8 teams that makeup the MLL. The season consists of 14 games.  So far, the Hounds have played 3 matches & already it’s time to start choosing players for the All-Star Game. The season moves quickly just like the game, so to stay up to date with the Hounds follow their Facebook or Twitter account.

Despite rumors out of Bristol that Stunner of Month may be on the verge sponsoring other teams part of the MLL, like last years champion the Boston Canons, #StunMoLax is sitting very comfortably backing the Blue.  However, it would be an honor to be a league sponsor and we think the marriage between LAX and StunMo won’t make that such a far off goal.

We were stopped at Gare du Nord, when police scanned our suitcase and noticed how many DirtyBird Stunners were in there.  They claimed we needed a work permit if we were doing business out there.  So we were left with no other choice than to stun the officers for entry into the UK.  We broke off a dozen dirtybird Stunners and they agreed to let us through and board the train.

So we’re on the way to London. It’s about 2 hour train ride that submerges under the English Channel. Once we arrived at St. Pancreas, we stored the rest of our personal baggage at the station and jumped in a black cab with our suitcase full of Db Stunners straight to the Warehouse.  We didn’t book a hotel since we were only spending less than a day there and the intention was to stay up all night until we had to catch a plane the next day for Easter.

We arrived at the venue right before @Vonstroke did.  Boy was he a beautiful wreck.  He too was dealing with his bag of issues realizing his computer was still in Paris and dealing with getting it to London. When I saw @MrJustinMartin, he was also feeling the pain of our previous nights antics and chose to his shield his hangover behind his Db shades.

So there we were in this empty warehouse still sobering up from last night like zombies.  8 hours later all the potential space would be filled with over a thousand ravers.  It was so sweaty in there when night rolled around that @Vonstroke took off his pants at some point in the evening and didn’t put them on until late morning. It was so sweaty we hardly realized we were pushing it for almost 50+ hours being awake.

It didn’t matter, nobody cared.  We were all Stunned up either in our Db Stunners, micro fiche Stunt or slap bracelets.  It was a beautiful spectacle when you are on stage and the ravers in the front row are wearing your Stunner Shades.  The music never seemed like it would end but around 7Am when the sun came up, the party was over.  @Vonstroke was still up because he had to play the afterparty till noon. We didn’t make the after party, but we stayed up for a couple hours drinking tea and crumpets until it was time to catch a flight to our next destination. When we finally boarded the EasyJet Plane and settled in our seats, everything immediately went lights out and this 2 day party turned out to be one of the most epic experiences in our young companies lifetime. Jetsetting, stunnin, getting low and rocking the fuck is what we live for.

The show ended somewhere around 6 am and we’re not sure  how and why Vonstroke, Martin, Pierre and I ended up at a Chateau about 40 miles north of Paris around 7:00 am but we did and it was off the chain.  We at least brought a bottle of Absolut to share on the journey there, and finally realizing how far away we were, we flagged a truck with hay in the back that brought us back into the city as daylight began to break.

It was a night for the memory books and would continue onto London the next day where we met up with the rest of the DirtyBird Family for an epic 15 hour rave.  More on that in the next blog.  For Todji Boa, the Stunnadondada it was the beginning of a 50+ hour no sleep adventure.  We think @vonstroke mentioned it best about that night: Paris est Roi.

We are happy to report the French are super down for Stunner couture, particularly keen for our new Rollens Stunner Shades. One person even offered to pay 5€ for mine; he was so stunned! We just gave them to him gratuit and appreciated the compliment.

We introduced these bad boys at SXSW and wouldn’t be surprised if other people start copying the idea. Just remember where you heard it first $-)

This weekend, we will be attending the Sound Pellegrino Festival, adding to the list of music events we’ve attended this tour. Friday night, we will meet up again with our San Francisco buddies, DirtyBird Music Label and continue where we left off in Miami. The following day, we take the train to London to do it all over again to much anticipation.

The interactive segment was sadly dampened by the weather. The session was accustomed to long lines and a lot of white men going wild. Don’t get it wrong, we met some interesting people during Interactive.  We were happy to talk about our latest Stunner Innovation: our micro-fiche/ roll on Stunner Shades, which happens to be we decided the most universal Stunner out there because it fits onto any face. It’s part of our global new program focused on “protecting people from red eyes”.

After the interactive, the music segment started on Tuesday . This meant less interactive, and more stunnin. We hit the streets hard all day stunnin people.  Todji Boa channeled his Bill Cunningham handing out micro fiche and capturing the fashion sense behind SXSW with his camera.  We ended Tuesday with the premier of huge stunner Johnny Roughneck and his show “A Rough Life”.  We’ve been longtime sponsors and supporters of Team Jaded and Johnny Roughneck.  They have been filming a real live documentary on Johnny Roughneck and his amazing life.  The party was held at the Yellow Jacket Social Club that ran along the train tracks on the East side of town.  The venue channeled the feel of Zeitgeist in San Francisco and was full of skaters supporting their long time mentor Johnny Roughneck.  The party was co-sponsored by SLUGMag, good people coming from Salt Lake City’s Underground. We also ran into members like Whit , and found out that the owner of the Social Club is a long time stunner and was pumped to meet us in person. Wish we had stayed longer. Rumor has it that Anthony Bourdain came in 45 minutes later.

The rest of the week, was spent party hoping around Austin and stunnin anyway we could.  We stunned the CEO of Foursquare at his party on Wednesday; on Thursday we stunned our way into the Fader Fort and started an impromptu dance party were ever our huge StunMo chain was located.  Later that night we went to the Warehouse to check out Atrak, Quest Love and Diplo.  A-trak’s hat was looking too fly in his fedora, and Diplo tore the roof off the building with special quest Nicky Da B who performed his booty dance with local Austin talent right in our face, this time we got stunned.

Friday we rolled around all day passing out more stunner swag ending up at the Nylon Party to see many good bands including Body Language on Om Records.  Later that night we ended up at the Pandora station party where one of our favorite StunMo DJ’s Tender Buttons was running shop.  It was great to end our week chillin with the homies, listening to some great tunes and of coarse stunnin super hard.  A couple people we were juiced to stunned include our friends Capitol Cities, and Dale Ernhart Jr. Jr.  We’ll see you next year SXSW.

Stunner Awards @SXSW 2012

#1 Stunner technology : We were stunned at the Hype Hotel party which offered hard-shell Taco made from Doritos.
#1 Stunner Venue for a day Party: The Fader Fort was a disaster last year in terms of waiting in line to get in. This year the problem was fixed and we had such a great time inside the fort.
#1 Stunner snack: Baconator—a bacon waffle cone with pulled pork and slaw inside $6.50…stunner.
#1 Stunner international band: Just a Band is from Kenya. Their performance was cut off short, unfortunately. But the mix of art, poetry, music and fashion behind this group makes them more important than Just a Band.
#1 Stunner film: Bad Brains is black punk rock band that came out of DC. They were the focus of this documentary baring their namesake. It’s about a group of four longtime friends, but it’s also about the mental illness of their lead signer “HR” and effect it has on the rest of the group. We were surprised when “HR” attended the Q/A after. Amazing archival footage is what makes the film a Stunner to see.
#1 Stunner Late nite bite: Mrs. Robinsons is located outside of downtown and has been serving glazed donuts and Kalochis since 1948. To top it off, it’s Drive Thru
#1 Stunner upcoming band: Out of Brooklyn, Body Language, is a band on the rise on the Om Records Label.
#1 Stunner indoor venue: The Warehouse, located across from the Fader Fort

#1 Stunner outdoor/backyard venue: Malverde is this amazing upstairs venue off of Gaudalupe. There are moss plants that hang elegantly from the ceiling and the part of the venue where the bands play is opened up to the cool Austin air.   #1 Stunner food truck:  I sadly didn’t find one a liked here. Sorry FedEx, I know how hard you tried to feed me, even for free. Still, I have a feeling with all the brand-sponsored trucks employed for the week, many of the locals moved outward to avoid the entire mess. So this year, I give it up to TacoDeli. I stayed right by the original location and went there almost everyday, at least enough to exchange Tacos for Stunners.  Breakfast tacos served all day on weekends. Good time to try it out at the Spyglass location.

2 Truths and a Lie:

Snoop Dogg sports bling on his microphone. I watched Diplo peg BigBoi in the head with a snowball. Todji Boa danced on stage with SoulClap and Wolf+Lamb.

Yup, Yup, it was one of those Stunner weekends–not a bad one to start off  StunMo’s Spring Tour.  When we showed up in Avon, Colorado everything was blanketed in snow and it was brick outside.  By the time we left all the snow in the valley had completely melted away.  We like to think that the festival was hot, it melted away all the snow.

87 bands performed at Snowball. By far, we thought Snoop put on the best set.  We’d recommend putting that on your bucket list. We also enjoyed checking out our homies SoulClap & Wolf+Lamb. Of course, we saw the Major Lazer set which by far was the coldest moment during he festival.  Ask Diplo his fingers almost froze, we need to get him a puff coat tuxedo.

We had such a good time at Snowball. Mad props to those who put in on, they did a Stunner job. Can’t wait to come back next year.

On Sunday we hosted a photo shoot at Mackler Studios in Harlem New York and invited our NYC members to come through and stun.  It was a blast.  With soul food from Sylvia’s and bottles of Chandon we partied all afternoon, enjoying a few hours in front of the lime light.  Our day culminated with a stoop shot on the front steps of Mackler’s beautiful brown stone.  There were furs, bling and plenty of stunt to go around.  With smiles on our faces and mugs for days we stunned hard forsho.  We’d like to big up @splurt for coming through with some of his gadgets.  @JHCdigital for bringing bottles of Chandon and to all our members who made it for reppin super hard.  There are 3 albums with photos in them you can check out on Mackler Studios Facebook page, you’ll find the links below.
